Application Procedure
The application deadline for the competitive selection
procedure is 13:00 (Italian time) on July 17, 2023. Applications must be
submitted online at https://studenti.unisalento.it. To
apply, follow these steps:

Visit the website and choose your preferred language
(Italian or English).

If you haven't registered before, complete the
registration process by clicking on "REGISTRAZIONE" in the "AREA
RISERVATA" or log in using your credentials.

If you have already registered on Esse3, log in to the
website mentioned above using your existing credentials. Foreign applicants can
register through "Registration for foreign candidates" without
activating SPID. Other applicants must activate SPID level 2, and information
on how to activate SPID can be found at https://www.spid.gov.it/richiedi-spid.
·
Access the portal and click on "REGISTRAR'S
OFFICE/ADMISSION TEST/ISCRIZIONE CONCORSI/DOTTORATO DI RICERCA." Select
the Doctorate Course you wish to apply for and complete the online application
form with the required information.

Attach all necessary documents in pdf, jpeg, or tiff
formats.

Tax Code For Foreign Applicants
Please note that foreign
applicants who do not have an Italian tax code (codice fiscale) will be
required to provide one during the application process. First-time users can
obtain an Italian tax code by visiting www.codicefiscale.com
and entering the name of the country or state where they were born (e.g., for
someone born in Paris, they should enter "France").

The electronic application procedure requires files to be
attached in PDF, JPG, or TIFF formats. Each file should be named according to
the following conventions:

Curriculum and lines of research (only for the Ph.D.
research course in "Human and Social Sciences")
Letter of presentation (for the doctoral course in "Physics

It is recommended to keep the file names within 25
characters to avoid downloading issues from the Esse3 platform.
In the "TYPOLOGY" section, choose the
appropriate category from the drop-down menu (e.g., C.V., IDENTITY CARD,
Research Project, Self-certification of exams, Other qualifications, remote
interview by TEAMS, etc.). For each selected category, provide the following
information in the "TITLE" section:
For "IDENTITY CARD," enter "CI_surname
applicant" (e.g., CI_JACKSON).
For "C.V.," enter "CV_surname
applicant" (e.g., CV_JACKSON).
For "Research Project," enter "Research
Project_surname applicant" (e.g., Research Project_JACKSON).
